Determining the extent to which high school principals exercise their authority and responsibilty
Abstract
The aim of this study was to analyze the extent to which high school principals exercise their authority and responsibility. All high school principals in central districts of Gaziantep participated in the study. The study was conducted during the academic year of 2005-2006. Statistical analyses of the data showed that school principals realised their responsibility with the mean value of 3,6. The principals achieved their responsibility with the highest mean value in bureaucratic duties and the lowest in school development.
