The aim of the research is to investigate the relation between motivation of success and team unity of the sportsmen.

120 sportsmen at the age of 13-34 from Kayseri and Mersin joined to this research willingly. The scale of Willis Motivation of Success Unique to Sports and Inventary of Team Unity adopted to Turkish population by the Süleyman Moralı were carried out to the enquetees.

As a consequence of the correlation analysis, a positive relation at 0,05 degree was obtained between team unity and motivation of success. No meaningful relation was found between age and success. Between the team unity and age a meaningful negative relation at 0,01 ( r=-,192*) degree was found. The older the sportsmen get, the more the team unity decreases.

According to these indications, the motivation and success and the team unity affect the sportive success in a positive way.

In the analysis of diversenesses a meaningful difference was found between gender and motivation success (p<0,01). This difference results from the fact that the women have more motivation of success than men.

 A meaningful diverseness was found between team unity and gender at p<0,05 degree.
